Synopsis
Jola is 69 and it’s the time of her life, time to change her life completely. After years in an abusive relationship, she decides to finally move on and look for happiness and true love somewhere else. In her quest, she has to face not only a violent husband and the expectations of others, but also her own deepest beliefs, values and prejudices.
World premiered at IDFA and since then touring international film festivals with great success, Lessons of Love is a touching and uplifting documentary portraying not quite an ordinary life of a charismatic and stylish heroine as she learns how to embrace her newly-found independence.
