Just food

Official opening with presence of artist: Sunday 19.03.2023, 18h00

In this exhibition all the photos has connections with different types of food from more than ten countries. There are shots taken at African markets and fancy Gourmet festivals in Budapest. There is a series of photos of different types of snails at a Vietnamese market. These kind of "monochrome" photos I really enjoy and just wish to have a size enough big kitchen to decorate by them.

I love taking photos of people, but this case there are just a few of them on the pics. The guy behind the "tomato burger" is not too interesting, but the "meal" is so extreme that worth to be shown. The market scene in Georgia is lovely I think. One might think that the photo of the used glasses and plates do not have a place at this show - but at a corner there is some kompote, so this nice photo could be included as well. I love taking pictures from above, as in that photo. There are some others from from that perspective like the pomegranates, the peanuts at an African market etc. At the opening I might speak about the photos, but right now just two more comments: there is a really nicely organized market stall for vegetables. That is actually an artwork at the 2015 Milan Expo. Chines food markets always have sometimes a bit strange scenes as well, like the hanging Peking duck in Malaysia, or the meal with chicken legs at a Chinese restaurant in Budapest.

Anyway I hope you like my photos and enjoy the exhibition.

Help the Turkish and Syrian earthquake victims!

On February 6 2023 there was an enormous earthquake in the eastern part of Turkey and in Syria. Unfortunately a lot of people died and for the survivals are in a really difficult situation. In my own way I also try to help them, so try to make a sale at the time of my exhibition. I offer 25 % of the income to the victims of the earthquake - the amount will be sent to the Red Cross Luxemburg, who will send them further to the Turkish and Syrian authorities.
