A funny interlinked story about seven characters in search of a relationship in Prague at the turn of the millennium.
Robert, a tour organiser and dealer, helps his friend Hanka break up with Petr, a radio DJ, who in turn falls for Vesna, a Macedonian living in Prague because it’s the best place for UFOs to land. Hanka is being chased by a respectable brain surgeon, Ondřej, whose wife, Lenka, a co-worker of Robert’s, deludes herself about their happy family. Through Ondřej, Hanka meets Jakub, a great guy, whose short-term memory suffers from too much pot smoking to the extent that he forgets that he actually already has one girlfriend... Just like Ondříček’s previous film Šeptej, this subtle comedy about the eternal need to look for a soul mate has achieved cult status among the younger generation not only in the Czech and Slovak republics, but to some extent also in Poland, and still offers a fresh and entertaining look at the problems of young people.
