Exposition: “Le monde qui nous entoure”

L'idée de cette exposition est de présenter les thèmes qui sont communs à toute l'humanité et dont l'universalité nous unit à travers les différents aspects de nos vies, qu’ils soient sociaux, culturels, religieux, écologiques ou politiques. Ainsi, l'exposition est constituée de peintures qui, conformément à mon interprétation contiennent les idées des mots, des civilisations, des religions, des villes, des architectures, des routes, de la flore, de l’écologie, etc. Ce sont des idées qui transcendent le temps et les frontières, les systèmes politiques et économiques. Ce sont les idées à la base des grandes catégories philosophiques et symboliques, portant sur le développement spirituel de l'humanité, dont un des objectifs principaux est d'apprendre à surmonter nos différences et nos préjugés.

Les idées proposées sont celles des différentes régions du monde, que je m’abstiens cependant de banaliser en tant que destinations touristiques. Bien que j'aie eu la chance de beaucoup voyager à travers le monde, je ne veux pas faire de cette exposition un guide touristique, parce que je sais que je n'ai vu qu'une infime partie du vaste patrimoine culturel de notre planète. Ce qui m'importe, c'est de montrer les valeurs spirituelles, qui font partie intégrante de l'Est et qui ont influencé directement ou indirectement le développement d'autres régions du monde. Telle est la raison pour laquelle je propose diverses images dans mes peintures. Je suis en effet fermement convaincu que chaque art, pour rester accessible au grand public, doit inspirer un processus d'apprentissage, d'illumination et de consolidation de nos connaissances spirituelles.

Exhibition: “The world around us”

The idea of this exhibition is to present those themes that are common to all mankind and whose universality unifies us by taking into consideration various aspects of our lives, i.e. social, cultural, religious, ecological and political. Thus, the exhibition consists of images which, pursuant to my interpretation, contain the idea for words, civilizations, religions, cities, architecture, roads, flora, ecology, etc. They are ideas which transcend time and borders, political and economic systems. They are ideas which underlie the basic philosophical and symbolic categories, pertaining to the spiritual development of humankind, one of whose main aims is to learn to overcome our differences and prejudices.

The proposed ideas are ones that concern different regions of the world. Nevertheless, I would like to refrain from propagating any of these regions from a tourist point of view. Although I have been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world, I am not in the position to make this exhibition a tourist guide, because I know that I have only seen a miniscule part its vast and diverse cultural heritage. Rather, for me it is important to show those spiritual values which are inherent in the East and which have influenced directly or indirectly the development of other regions. This is also the reason why there are different images included in my proposed exhibition. After all, I strongly believe that every art should inspire a process of learning, of enlightenment, and of consolidation of our knowledge in the area of the spiritual which can be shared on a wide base.

Изложба: „Светът около нас”

Изложбата има за цел да представи всички теми, които се споделят от човечеството и чиято универсалност ни обединява, вземайки предвид различни аспекти от живота ни, т.е. социални, културни, религиозни, екологични и политически. Изложбата включва картини, които изобразяват, според моята интерпретация, идеите за: думи, цивилизации, религии, градове, архитектура, пътища, флора, екология и др. Това са идеи които преминават през времето и границите, политическите и икономически системи. Това са идеи, върху които се изграждат и затвърждават основните философки и символични категории, съпровождащи развитието на човечеството, една от чиито основни цели в да се научим да превъзмогваме разликите си и предразсъдъците си.

Предложените от мен теми са свързани с различни региони от света. Независимо от това, се въздържам да ги популяризирам от туристическа гледна точка. Въпреки, че съм имала възможноста да пътувам много по света, не бих искала да превръщам тази изложба в туристически наръчник, тъй като знам, че съм видяла само една микроскопична част от неговото всеобхватно и разнообразно културно наследство. За мен е по-важно да се опитам да покажа тези духовни ценности, които са неизменна част от Изтока и които са повлияли директно или косвено върху развитието на други региони по света. Това е и причината да предлагам на публиката разнообразни изображения в картините си. Вярвам, че всяко изкуство би следвало да подтиква и вдъхновява процес на изучаване, на просветителсто, както и на консолидиране на познанията ни в сферата на духовното, които да са достъпни до широката публика. 

Silvia Karamfilova

Silvia est née à Sofia, en Bulgarie, en 1976. Avec sa famille, elle a vécu à Prague, Tchécoslovaquie et à New York, Etats-Unis. Actuellement, elle réside en Belgique/ Luxembourg. Elle a étudié à l'Académie des Arts du musée Solomon R. Guggenheim à New York. Silvia est diplômée du lycée de  langue anglaise de Sofia et du Lycée secondaire polytechnique n ° 149 de Sofia, après quoi elle a obtenu une Maitrise en économie de l'Université de Fairfield aux Etats-Unis, et un Master en business administration de Cyprus International Institute of Management à Chypre.

Elle a fait des expositions personnelles et a participé à des expositions groupées en Bulgarie, aux Etats-Unis, en France, en Turquie, en Hongrie et dans d'autres pays. Elle se consacre avec passion à la photographie lors de ces voyages autour du monde.

Sylvia a travaillé six ans chez KPMG Bulgarie et sept ans dans diverses entreprises en  lien avec  l'investissement et le développement dans le domaine industriel, commercial et agricole, ainsi que  plusieurs années dans le cabinet de courtage d'assurance d’une société pour le traitement et l'exportation de produits laitiers. Elle a fait des traductions bulgare-anglais pour des institutions publiques, des entreprises et des particuliers, en Bulgarie.

Silvia Karamfilova

Silvia was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1976. Together with her family, she has lived in Prague, Czechoslovakia and New York, USA. Currently, she resides in Belgium/ Luxembourg. She studied at the Arts Academy with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Silvia completed First English Language High School and Secondary Polytechnic High School No. 149 in Sofia, following which she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Fairfield University in the USA, and a Master of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the Cyprus International Institute of Management in Cyprus.

Silvia has had solo and group exhibitions in Bulgaria, the USA, France, Turkey, Hungary, etc. She is an avid photographer capturing worthwhile moments during her travels to various places in the world.

Silvia worked 6 years in KPMG Bulgaria, 7 years in various companies implementing projects in the area of industrial, commercial, residential and agricultural real estate investment and development, as well as several years in an insurance broking firm and a dairy-processing and export company. She is also a sworn translator in the Bulgarian and English languages for public administration organizations, trade companies, and private individuals in Bulgaria. 

Силвия Карамфилова

Силвия е родена в София, България през 1976 г. Живее със семейството си в Прага, Чехословакия и Ню Йорк, САЩ. В момента живее в Белгия/ Люксембург. Обучава се в Академията за изкуства към Музея Соломин Р. Гугенхайм в Ню Йорк. Завършва Първа английска езикова гимназия и 149-то ЕСПУ в София, след което получава Бакалавърска степен по икономика от Fairfield University, САЩ, и Магистърска степен по бизнес администрация от Cyprus International Institute of Management, Кипър.

Има самостоятелни изложби и участия в сборни в България, САЩ, Франция, Турция, Унгария и др. Занимава се активно с фотография по време на пътуванията си в различни точки от света.

Силвия е работила 6 години в KPMG Bulgaria, 7 години в различни дружества за инвестиции и разработване на индустриални, търговски, жилищни и селскостопански недвижими имоти, както и няколко години във застрахователно-брокерска фирма и дружество за преработване и износ на млечни продукти. Занимава се и с преводи на български и английски език за държавни институции и търговски дружества и частни лица в България.
